Amber Alert is an intense 2024 thriller set in Louisville, Kentucky. It begins with Monica Bryce and her mother, Gail, spending a peaceful afternoon in the park with Monica’s children. While her two younger kids are playing hide-and-seek, Monica is unaware that her seven-year-old daughter, Charlotte, is being abducted by a black Toyota Camry. Fortunately, Gail captures the shocking moment on her phone, but unfortunately, the car’s license plate isn’t visible. As a result, Monica immediately calls 911, and operator Cici issues an Amber Alert, albeit reluctantly, due to the missing license plate and the commonality of the car model.

Meanwhile, Jacqueline “Jaq” misses her Uber, but, fortunately, she finds another ride with Shane, who is heading home after finishing his shift. As they drive, Jaq receives the Amber Alert and becomes suspicious of a nearby Camry. She asks Shane to follow the car, and, when the vehicle stops at a gas station, she approaches the car. However, the dark tinted windows prevent her from seeing anything clearly except for the feet of a girl in the backseat. In an attempt to learn more, she throws one of her earphones into the car to listen in on a conversation. Soon after, the driver, Aaron, claims his daughter Olympia is in the back seat, and the Amber Alert is called off. Jaq and Shane apologize, but something doesn’t sit right with Jaq. She realizes that Aaron may have used the phone call to mislead them and the authorities.

The suspense only grows as Jaq and Shane continue their pursuit, aware that they might be racing against time. The cat-and-mouse game intensifies, but the question remains: Can they uncover the truth behind Aaron’s actions before it’s too late?
